Google not indexing site.
I registered http://www.housesontheharbour.com with Google Webmaster (atleast a month ago, maybe more like two).
and it hasn't been indexed? This happeneds with a couple of other sites: http://www.birdingguy.com / http://birdingguy.ca and http://leamingtongreenhousesummit.com And this is from three different Webmaster accounts. |

I have found that if I add the Google Analytic code to the site, google seems to locate it a little sooner. I have also put adsense on a couple of sites and then removed it after a few days and found that helped as well.
When you added the site to the Google Webmaster site did you provide a site map as well?

http://www.birdingguy.com and http://birdingguy.ca are the same site, so pick one and only submit that one. If you choose to include "www." in the URL, you must do that in the site map. The domain redirects to a subdomain. This could also cause a problem. Submitting a sitemap in Google webmaster tools and removing the other URLs to remove duplicate content will help.
http://leamingtongreenhousesummit.com/ has URLs that all include index.php in them! You can try to rename your URLs to reduce the confusion for search engines that think all of those queries appear on the same page! http://leamingtongreenhousesummit.co...gistration.php should be http://leamingtongreenhousesummit.com/registration.php and if you submit a domain name without "www." to Google, be sure that your sitemap also does not include it. How's the weather up North, Andrew? It's getting colder down here in PA which is North for the US. ![]() |

entrecon,
Google Analytics is in there, but I spaced on the site map. Just did that now. Yvette So I should always put www. ? Weather is good, cool not cold. I'm actually as far south as one can get in Canada (there a couple of islands a little more south). I'm south of Detroit actually. My mother’s mother is from PA actually, small world. |

You need to be consistent and not submit both versions of your URL. My dad used to go fishing in southern Ontario. I have a friend near Lake Heron in Kincardine who has been snowed in on the farm in the winter. |

You may want to also use a url-rewriting module to fix any requests that come to alternative addressing of your desired domain scheme...so if you are going to always submit your URL with the "www", then you could re-write "non-www" to "www", in case there are inconsistent uses of it out there. |
